You climbed the stairs above Yaowarat, left the traffic and neon below, and found our little room in the sky. Some people came for the shop. Some stayed for the rooftop. Many became regulars, friends, and part of the story.
After our final trading day on 31 August 2026, Stash BKK Chinatown will permanently close.
Our lease has come to an end. That is the simple truth. No drama and no mysterious new address around the corner—just the end of our time in a space that gave us more memories than its walls could hold.
The Room Above Yaowarat
Chinatown was never our easiest location. It was hidden, a little strange, and very Bangkok. You had to know where to look. You had to climb.
That was also why people loved it.
Upstairs, the city changed. The noise softened, the air opened, and Yaowarat stretched out below us. We watched sunsets turn into neon nights. We met travellers on their first evening in Bangkok and locals who returned often enough that nobody needed to ask their names.
The best parts were never on a menu. They were the conversations at the counter, the music drifting across the rooftop, the team getting through another long night, and the people who told their friends, “Trust me—keep going up.”
What We Are Taking With Us
We are proud of what we built in Chinatown. Not because it lasted forever, but because it was real while it was here.
To our team: thank you for carrying this place through the heat, rain, late nights, changing rules, and everything the public never sees.
To our neighbours: thank you for sharing your corner of one of the greatest neighbourhoods in the world with us.
And to every person who climbed those stairs: thank you. You gave the room its life.
Stash BKK Continues
Chinatown is closing, but Stash BKK is not. Our three remaining Bangkok locations are open 24 hours a day:
- Ari — near Ari BTS, with an easygoing neighbourhood feel
- Ekkamai — on Sukhumvit 63, close to Ekkamai nightlife
- On Nut — near On Nut BTS, open around the clock
